“This is justice! Humanity would benefit by recognizing that anyone can be the very best at anything and positively contribute their life skills, talents, and abilities to the society in which they live. Who they are should not stand in their way. If one needs to defend their humanity for any reason, especially when the defense is due to a disruption in their contribution, let them do so without moving to the back of the bus.” – Daniel Curcio, Gay Activist, Teacher, Counselor

Why Now?
I want to start by saying that I wanted to make this a book but instead, I will just make it internet history. An history of a young teacher who came out to his students. It is one thing to be gay and be allowed to work. It is another thing to be openly gay and be allowed to work. It will be as real to you as it was to me. Every few days, I will place a part of the journal I kept during the time I spent in a legal battle with this school, in this blog. All you have to do is to read my posts. It will challenge your thoughts and belief systems, so my question is, are you ready?
